Martin Luther
Martin Luther was a very important church reformer. He created a new religion called Lutheranism (named after him) due to his reforms of the churches. He is very important because he made/created the 95 theses, which is a list of complaints against the church, because he disagreed with the Pope Leo X's rules.
Martin Luther was one of the first and most important leader of the reform in European Christianity known as the Protestant Reformation. He was one of the major branches of protestant church. He created the religion after his name, which is called Lutheranism. He went to Rome and spent his busy days, studying, preaching, teaching, and writing within a small circle of towns in central Germany. What he did was also commonly known as Protestant Reformation.
Martin Luther was a reformer. He thought that Jewish Synagogues should be destroyed. Marin Luther was a German monk, priest, professor, theologian, and a church reformer. Teachings inspired the reformation and deeply influenced the doctrines and culture of the Lutheran and protestant traditions.
Martin Luther was born on November 10, 1483. He died on February 18, 1546. He was head of the reform movement in the 16th century. He died of an apoplectic stroke during his speech to God before his death. He was born in Eislben, Germany. Eisleben is where the reformation started and ended.
He wrote the 95 theses, against a church and had a copy nailed to the door. Legend has it that he nailed a copy of the 95 theses to the front door of the Wittenberg Castle Church. The first two complaints of the 95 theses had his main idea, which was that God intended believers to seek repentance and that faith alone, and not deeds, would lead to salvation
Martin Luther believed that Jewish synagogues should be destroyed. He doesn’t agree with many of the catholic churches policies. He made the 95 theses because he wanted people to side with him against the catholic churches rules. He also thought that fighting the catholic churches ruled would change history of religion.
The importance/point of his contributions were to change the people opinions on the churches rules. He was also saying how the pope could make mistakes like everybody else, which was against their religion at the time. That’s how Martin was a very important reformer and teacher.
